On March 3, 2005 Oklahoma City Beautiful held its Twenty-second Annual Distinguished Service Awards Luncheon and Celebration. The luncheon was held at the Oklahoma City Homebuilders Association. The venue was lovely, the food was wonderful and a large crowd enjoyed the program.

Kelly Ogle emceed the ceremony and did an excellent job. Oklahoma County Master Gardeners received the Education Award for the creation of the Anniversary Garden at the Extension Center. A slide show presentation showed the garden at its best. President Watzell Carlson accepted the award for our association.

Master Gardeners seated at tables eleven and twelve were: Watzell Carlson, Kaylon Hand, Paula Leazure, Tony Furrh, Gerald Luton, Jane Hays, Ann Michalski, Frank Maschino, Don Vegher, Marjorie Miller and Nan Frates. Bill Geer and Ray Ridlen shared the honor and Hugh and Jennifer Stout joined us.

It is truly an honor to have our work recognized by the community.
